The Wellcome Trust is working with Neuromatch to help researchers find collaborators ahead of a new funding opportunity that applies neuroscience to mental health research.

Wellcome’s new funding call - Mental Health Award: Applying neuroscience to understand symptoms in anxiety, depression, and psychosis – launches in mid-April. It will fund innovative projects that combine computational and experimental neuroscience approaches to improve our understanding of the symptoms found in anxiety, depression, and psychosis.

Wellcome wants neuroscientists and mental health clinicians to work together as they can bridge the gap between our neurobiological understanding of anxiety, depression, and psychosis and early intervention for these problems.

Neuromatch can be used to find collaborators working in different neuroscientific fields, or to match neuroscientists with clinical researchers.

How to use Neuromatch

To use this service, you can submit your information using the form below. The deadline for applying is 4 pm UTC on 23rd April 2024.

We will use this information to suggest collaborators for this funding call. Your proposal and past work will not be shared with potential collaborators. Only your name and email will be shared with 4-8 other people for whom you may be a good match.

Dates for your diary – events online

To help you meet and network with these collaborators, you will be invited to a networking at one of the two times below:

• 25th April 2024, 4 pm (16:00) UTC

• 30th April 2024, 4 am (04:00) UTC

These online events are the ideal opportunity to meet over a video call to get to know fellow researchers and experts before deciding whether to collaborate further on this proposal.

What if I can’t attend?

Don’t worry, if you cannot attend the networking event, your name and email will be shared with potential collaborators, and you can get in touch in your own time.
